Yes, 100% of the teaching is in English. Classes, materials, assessments, and the final project are all conducted in English. The programme was specifically designed for international students and Spanish speakers who want to build their career in the English-language digital marketing market.
No prior marketing experience is required. The programme starts from the fundamentals and builds progressively towards advanced specialisations. Past groups have included students from engineering, law, journalism, economics, and completely unrelated fields. What matters is motivation and willingness to engage with real campaign work from the first session.
You receive the IEM Digital Business School Accreditation Diploma.
The most common career paths include Digital Marketing Manager, SEO Specialist, Paid Media Specialist, Social Media Manager, Growth Hacker, CRO Analyst, and E-commerce Manager. These are among the highest-demand roles in Spain’s digital sector. The English-language track specifically opens doors to international companies, remote-first roles, and agencies with global client portfolios, which tend to offer higher salaries than purely local positions.
The short answer is no, but it will change what digital marketers do. Repetitive tasks like reporting, basic ad bidding, and templated content are already being automated. What remains irreplaceable is strategic thinking, creative judgment, audience understanding, and the ability to turn data into decisions that a business can actually act on. IEM’s programme integrates AI tools directly into the curriculum, including ChatGPT, generative AI for content, and AI-assisted analytics, so you graduate knowing how to work with these tools rather than around them.
Yes. The modules covering Google Ads, GA4, Meta Business Manager, and HubSpot are taught by practitioners who hold and actively use these certifications in their own work. The sessions are built around real platform access and live campaign management, so you finish the programme with the practical hours needed to sit each exam with confidence.
The programme runs for 7 months across 34 intensive sessions, with classes two days a week. The next edition starts in October 2026. You can attend in person at IEM’s Valencia campus or via live streaming. Class sizes are capped at 18 students, so the experience is genuinely small-group, not a lecture hall.
It depends on your schedule, but the structure is designed to make it manageable. Classes run on Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 16:00 to 21:00, so mornings are yours. The live streaming option means you do not need to be physically in Valencia. Sessions are recorded so you can review them afterwards. That said, this is an intensive, hands-on programme and it works best when you can commit properly to the project work and group sessions.
Yes. The programme qualifies for a Spanish student visa for non-EU nationals. Valencia is one of the most affordable major cities in Western Europe for student living, which makes it a genuinely cost-effective option compared to studying in Madrid, Barcelona, or equivalent cities in northern Europe. The admissions team can guide you through the visa process and provide supporting documentation.
The content and faculty are equivalent, but this programme is taught entirely in English and has a smaller groups of a maximum of 18 students versus 25 in the Spanish track. The English edition also runs for 7 months rather than 9, with a more condensed format. It is designed specifically for international students and bilingual professionals who want the same quality of practical training in an English-speaking environment, with access to the same internship network and talent department.
Valencia is one of the most practical and affordable places in Europe to complete a postgraduate degree in digital marketing. The city has a fast-growing digital ecosystem of agencies, e-commerce companies, and tech startups, with companies like AgenciaSEO.eu, Making Science, Unanime Creativos, and Cecotec serving as active collaborators of the programme. That means you are not studying marketing in a vacuum: you are training alongside the professionals who run real campaigns for real clients, in a city that is significantly cheaper to live in than Madrid or Barcelona while offering the same quality of teaching.
For international students, Valencia adds something that classroom learning rarely can: daily immersion in a Mediterranean culture with a pace of life that makes it genuinely enjoyable to be a student. IEM’s programme runs face-to-face or via live streaming, so you can attend from anywhere while still being part of a real group, a real classroom, and a real professional network that stays with you after graduation.
IEM’s Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing in English is built for three distinct types of student. If you have recently graduated and want to launch a career in digital marketing without going through another degree in Spanish, this programme gives you the practical tools, the portfolio, and the internship placement to get hired from day one. The teaching is fully in English, but the market exposure is Spanish and European, which is a combination very few programmes in the country can offer.
If you are already working in marketing and want to formalise your skills, pivot into a more specialised role, or simply get the credential that proves what you already know, the programme is structured around real campaign work rather than theory for its own sake.
And if you are an international professional moving to Spain and want to build local industry connections while studying, IEM gives you access to a network of more than 200 companies in the Valencia area looking for digital talent.
Upon completing the Master’s in Digital Marketing, you receive the IEM Digital Business School Accreditation Diploma.
The faculty teaching each module are professionals who hold and use these certifications in their own work. That is not a small thing. Most academic programmes teach the theory behind a tool without giving you the platform access or guided practice to actually pass the exam. At IEM, the sessions are structured around real campaign setups, live dashboards, and actual ad account management, so by the time you graduate you have both the knowledge and the hours of practice needed to go after each certification with confidence.
Graduates of IEM’s Master’s in Digital Marketing go on to work as:
These are the roles with the highest demand in Spain’s digital sector in 2026, and they are roles where being able to work in English is itself a competitive advantage, especially in international companies, agencies with global clients, and remote-first teams. IEM has a 95% employability rate, and 42% of its graduates find work within a month of finishing the programme. The talent department actively connects students with more than 200 companies in the Valencia area looking for digital profiles, and the English-language track puts you in a strong position for international roles and remote opportunities from day one.
Every student in the Master’s completes a final project applied to a real company or business. This is the practical centrepiece of the programme: a full digital marketing strategy that brings together everything covered across the modules, from brand positioning and SEO implementation to paid media campaigns, GA4 reporting, and email automation. The project is assigned a tutor from the faculty and, where possible, presented to actual companies from the Valencia digital ecosystem.
This is what separates a hands-on programme from an academic one. When you finish IEM’s Master’s, you leave with a portfolio piece you can show in job interviews or client pitches: a documented, data-backed marketing project built for a real organisation, not a hypothetical case study. That distinction matters more than almost anything else when you are competing for your first position in a market where everyone has a degree but few candidates can show actual work.
The Master’s in Digital Marketing at IEM runs across 34 intensive sessions over 7 months, with two class days per week. You can attend face-to-face at IEM’s campus in Valencia (Calle Colón 1) or join via live streaming with real-time interaction with teachers and classmates. The programme is limited to a maximum of 18 students per group, which means the teaching is genuinely interactive and the faculty actually know who you are.
Sessions are taught entirely in English, and the group is typically international in composition, so the classroom dynamic reflects the kind of multicultural team environment you will work in after graduation. Classes are recorded and accessible through the virtual campus, so if you miss a session you can catch up without falling behind. The October 2026 edition is currently open for applications, and places fill quickly given the size of the group.
The Master’s Degree in Digital Marketing taught in English at IEM has a tuition fee of 4,890 euros, which is substantially lower than comparable English-language programmes at institutions like ESEI Barcelona (14,500 euros) or GBSB Global. Payment can be split into up to 12 monthly instalments. If you are currently employed in Spain, the programme may be partially or fully subsidised through FUNDAE, the Spanish national training fund, and IEM manages that process on your behalf at no extra cost.
For international students coming from outside the European Union, the programme qualifies you to apply for a student visa in Spain. Valencia is consistently ranked among the most affordable major cities in Western Europe for student living costs, which makes the total cost of studying here significantly lower than Madrid, Barcelona, or any equivalent destination in northern Europe. The admissions team can provide a full cost breakdown, including estimates for accommodation, transport, and day-to-day expenses, to help you plan your stay.
